Who am I?
Hello, and welcome!
I am a full professor in English-as-a-foreign language (EFL) teacher education and a researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. My work focuses on personal learning networks as a form of open, ongoing professional learning. I hold a PhD in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership and a master’s degree in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction: Technology.
What’s my educational philosophy?
My educational philosophy is to help learners become more capable of constructing valid, reliable, and unbiased arguments; developing innovative solutions to real-world problems; resolving cognitive conflict through thoughtful dialogue and multiple perspectives; and communicating ideas in meaningful and creative ways.
My role is to guide learners as they grow from dependence, to independence, and ultimately to interdependence. I strive to create learning environments where people are willing to take intellectual risks, share both successes and failures, and contribute to the well-being of others. Ultimately, my goal is to help people become more daring, more willing to share, and more caring.

I believe artificial intelligence should augment—not replace—human thinking.
As an educator, researcher, and writer, I use AI in the same way I encourage my students and colleagues to use it: as a tool for learning, reflection, revision, and exploration, never as a substitute for original thinking or professional judgment.

The ideas, arguments, interpretations, experiences, and conclusions presented in my writing are my own.
AI may be used to support brainstorming, organization, editing, grammar, clarity, readability, and the refinement of language.
Every article is reviewed, revised, and approved by me, and I take full responsibility for everything I publish.
Disclosure of AI-generated content
When AI contributes more than editorial assistance—for example, by generating substantial passages of text—I will clearly identify those sections.
To promote transparency and model responsible AI use, I will:
Clearly distinguish substantial AI-generated passages from my own writing.
Cite and reference AI-generated content using the most current APA Style recommendations for generative AI.
Review, verify, and edit all AI-generated material before publication.
My intention is not simply to disclose AI use, but to demonstrate ethical, transparent, and academically responsible practices that others may adapt in their own work.
